I guess I haven’t been downtown Ottawa in a while. I just noticed that allot has changed in a little while.

Like the Ottawa Congress Centre. It seems that giant yellow animals are now starting to tear this place apart. They sure are doing a good job at it.

New Crocs store opened in the Byward market. I went inside and this is not just your ugly shoe store, they have very nice “work looking” type shoes now too. Actually, I bought a pair of the wedge sandal last year from Crocs and I have to agree, they are super comfortable.

Now this sign on the Moulin de Province (sp?) actually bothers me. “I love this country. Obama cookies sold here”. Way to market on a president’s visit. I will not be buying these cookies just because Obama did. This reminds me of the Beavertails. Hey, let’s call this one the Obama Tail, because I made an O with the syrup.
Anyone else see anything new/cool in the Byward market lately?
i had to go to a dinner last weekend at tuckers and noticed the crocs store.
i NEVER go downtown so it threw me for a loop also.
dumb.
i love this country so i want to buy a cookie someone elses leader bought.

I work downtown and was surprised with your pics! A whole entire crocs store, how cool! My 3 year old lives in crocs in the summer. Tried a pair on my 1 year old just recently before our Bahamas trip but he hated the feel of them on his little feet! Will have to re-try again this summer!
The poster about the Obama cookies IS a little much… that poster, in a smaller size, would be more appropriate inside the store. Although I am tempted to try the cookie, but only because I love cookies and it lookes tasty!
Have you been to Rideau Centre lately? I’m so impressed with the stores they now have… especially Sephora! That was one of my favourite stores to shop at in the US, and now we have it right here! And Couch, although it is annoying that everyone has a Coach bag in Ottawa now!

There’s another new restaurant, Must, near there. Still haven’t been in but menu looks good and heard it’s good.

Holy cow. I was taking all my Congress Centre demolition photos from ground level. Yours is a much better angle!
