Airdale Terriers
Not that now would be a good time at all to get a new dog or anything.. but I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the Airedale Terriers?
These dogs are hypoallergenic and don’t shed (much). They don’t have a lot of history of having health problems, but have been known to be stubborn.
Has anyone had any experiences with these dogs? What do you think?

Honestly. Just look at that face. Who could not fall in love with that dog!??? It’s so friggin’ adorable! I don’t know anything about its temperment mind you but…who cares? He’s too cute to care!

I had an Airedale growing up! His name was Charley. He was an affectionate, loyal, and fun loving dogs, but (like many terriers) he could be pretty stubborn. Be prepared to spend some time at dog school!
I don’t think ours shed very much, but you do have to take them to the groomers for a big hair cut every once in awhile, and give the dog a regular brushing.

You should do a lot of research before you settle on any breed. Airedales are wonderful dogs, but they are not just “cute.” They’re big, strong, active dogs who–like all dogs–need to be well trained, and–like all dogs–they don’t do well if they’re left alone for long periods. An awful lot of Airedales wind up in rescue because their owners didn’t know what to expect and how to handle them. This page is a good place to start:
